The Learners Licence test is a theoretical test (in some cases orally) which is done at a Traffic Department. After passing your learner’s licence test the Traffic Department will issue you with a learner’s licence which is valid for 2 years (24 months).

We want to help you be successful in passing your learner’s licence test. A few methods are discussed below as to how we can help you prepare for this test.

A. LEARNERS LICENCE CLASSES - DURBANVILLE

Our highly recommended and very affordable learners licence classes take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 18H00-21H00, Mondays to Fridays from 09h00-12h00 (excl public holidays) at 21 Sterling Street, Vierlanden, Durbanville. Three classes of three hours each are recommended. Kindly contact our office to make your booking.

Fee per 3-hour class: R60 per person

The main aim of our learners classes would be to expose you to the format and type of questions you can expect; how to approach these questions and also for you to determine whether or not you fully understand the work.

The learner’s licence test at the Traffic Department are divided in three sections:
1. Rules
2. Signs
3. Controls

The learner must pass all three sections successfully before the Traffic Department will issue a learner’s licence.

B. FULL TRAINING COURSE (FOR A GROUP OF NO LESS THAN SIX PERSONS) AT A VENUE ARRANGED WITH THE INSTRUCTOR BEFOREHAND (T&C apply):

Should you have a venue available for learner’s licence training the instructor will gladly provide the learner’s licence classes at your venue. Literature will be provided so there is no need for the expense of buying learner’s licence books. Based on an average we recommend three classes of three hours each. In other words nine hours of training per person. Remember: The amount of hours depends on the learner’s progression ability. For a quote free of charge, kindly contact our office.

You will need the following when booking your LEARNERS test at the Traffic Department:

Booking of learners licence test (all codes): R68

Free eye test

Identity book

Identity photos (only black/white)

After completing your learners test successfully:

Issuing of your learners licence: R33
